STAY OF QUEENSTOWN

Stay of Queenstown is a boutique accommodation provider in Queenstown, overlooking Lake Whakatipu. 

The owner contacted me with a dream brief in 2024; design and paint murals featuring native NZ birds and plants, good colours, ultimate creative freedom.

They had two adjacent walls up in the car parking area and two down below in a beautiful little courtyard area. 

I picked colours from the immediate Whakatipu Basin environment and birds and plants that their international visitors might see locally. 

I designed this mural with a contemporary twist. To be different to 'just a painting of a native bird' and it turned out vibrant and full of joy, with the owners of the property absolutely delighted.
